My friend invited me to Orkut...?

but I don't like social networking sites. I don't even have an account on any. I feel it is too much of a distraction and it takes up too much of my time. So, I told him so. Since then he has been giving me the cold shoulder. What's up with him? Did I do something wrong?

No, he doesn't have a crush on me or anything like that. We are good friends and I thought he would understand.

owww. it really is weird to find out that your friend treated you so cold after rejecting his offer.

try to recalculate your friendship, may be he is the type of person that could never accept rejection. if he is then, try asking yourself if you have explained to him clearly the reason why you wouldn't go with him?

if you haven't then try to talk to him and have clarifications.. if you did explained to him well the reason why, then he should have understand your side since you two are friends. if he insist on giving you  a cold shoulder still, then there is nothing you can do to it..

whats important is that you have made your part as a friend without stepping your own principle in life and dignity..

Not a very good friend if that's his level of understanding.

Ask him what's up, make sure that's why he's upset.. or make sure that he even is upset and not just distracted with other things.

to be honest your so called friend just isn't that sensible. but hey, if by just creating an account on orkut will keep your friendship alive then you should do it. its not like that you will have t0o maintain that account.

well thats just stupid. Thats your choice whether or not you want to do that. If he gets mad at you over it, he'll just have to get over it.

Do what you think is best, don't just create an account just to make him feel better. that lets you know Right there that he was never a friend to begin with, so forget about him, move on.
