My gerbil randomly spazzes ?

when i was holding one of my gerbils i was petting him and he froze for a split second and flipped out of my hand, but when i picked him up he was fine. is this natural?

  1. did it have a siezure? gerbils are prone to that but they really arent great pets to hold...they dont seem to like it much lol...they are quite spazzy
