  1. if they're dwarf, the father should be able to stay in there. if they're syrians, they shouldn't have been together in the first place. IF THEY ARE SYRIANS  i wouldn't suggest putting the father back in AT ALL especially with babies in the cage. that will definately increase the rates of cannibalism.

  2. the mom will eat them too if she feels they may be threatened ( I know messed up) just wait until they are big or you get rid of them

  3. wen thier eyes are open but introduce them slowly and if any fights then seperate

  4. Around 18 days after the babies are born. And if you don't want anymore babies, try putting the daughters with the mom and the sons with the father.

  5. Never.

The only solution is to eat the baby hamsters.

    I recommend frying them, personally.

  6. I don't know, but I hear hamster babies are quite tasty in sandwiches.

    mmmmm, crunchy.

  7. if you dont want any more little babies i wouldnt put him back with her..after 3 weeks or so you need to seperate the boys and girls because the little boys can get their mother preggo...yeah weird. we have guinea pigs and we put the boy babies with the dad and the girls with the mom..sometimes when we let them outside together the baby boy starts mountin the mother and we have to seperate them...but i would leave the mother ad the father apart/

  8. You shouldn't put the daddy back in until the babies have gone to their new homes.

Here is a great website with lots of info: www.hamster-heaven.com/breeding.html

  9. Yea i would wait until they are reared  i waited to put him in until the babies were all gone

  10. be careful, my friends hamsters had babies, and she took out the dad, but after awhile they started to eat each other.
