It started about 2 days ago: I noticed that when I tried searching on google, it wasn't working. It didn't load anything. Also, I couldn't load certain sites. Other websites were working fine. I ran FixQhost and tried googling during the scan. It worked, and I thought i had fixed it. At the end of the scan however, it said no qhosts were found. I shrugged it off, and the next day I had the same problem. I ran qhost again but it said it didn't found any qhosts, and that didn't fix anything. The same day I went on youtube, and a pop up appeared, which i posted about only minutes ago. Anyway, it said i had been jacked. After the pop incident, google was working. Any ideas as to what happened. What should I do?

  2. First, clean up (delete) your cookies, temp files and temporary internet files. I prefer to use Ccleaner (available at www.filehippo.com) to do this, rather than the built-in DISK CLEANUP, as I feel it does a much more thorough job - for example, it will clean out the index files on your next reboot.

If you want to use Disk Cleanup, you can find it if you:

    - Double-Click on My Computer to open it up

    - RIGHT-click on your C: drive

    - Choose PROPERTIES and then click on the DISK CLEANUP button

    - When done, reboot your computer.

Delete these files daily or run Ccleaner every day right before you shut your computer down.
