My kitten keeps running away

Question

I got my kitten off Craigslist (along with my twin brother's kitten) last week. She is one month old born in June 7, 2008 (or very close). She's making me very angry. My brother's kitten is clingy and would sit down for a pet on his lap while my cat with her long nails that I'm trimming runs away or escapes from my hands when I just want her to sit down with me and let me pet her. Sometimes she lets me when she's tired.

She's also very energetic. When I'm trying to go to sleep and she happens to need an extra hour of running around before she goes to sleep or whatever, she's running around and finding things to play with. I don't mind her playing with my brother's kitten and all.. they need that but shes a little more energetic than my brother's kitten. Is there anything I can change in her diet of Kitten Chow's dry food?

try playing and spending more time with the kitten so it starts to recognize you as a friend, try to put her on ur lap, if she stays on her own, give her a treat .if u want a lap cat, what did with mine , is i took her while she was asleep, really gently, not to wake her i placed her on my lap or even next to me. the kitten might stir a bit, just sooth it back to sleep. u have to be patient! go at it, dont give up! my cat now sleeps with me like a doll, follows me every were, and when i let her , she sleeps on my lap :] i love my cat. and its great to start while ur kitten is still a kitten. remember to spend A LOT of time with it, and it'll be ur lil buddy :]
