My laptop keeps disconnecting from linksys?

It will disconnect, then when you try to connect it still shows the little x on the task bar but will connect for about 3 minutes. then you have to do it all over again. I have a Toshiba with xp home. I have tried repair and it says it cant repair. I am at wits end!!!! The signal is excellent

Have you tried restarting your Linksys system? Type in http://192.168.1.1 and enter in "admin" for both username and password, and go about doing a reset there.
