My mom wont let me shave?

Im going into high school and my mom wont let me shave.

Everytime i bring it up she says you cant even see them

alll you have to do is put lotion on your legs and make the hair lay down.

Its true that you cant really see them unless you look at people legs to see if they shave. But there all hairy and thats gross. I think i have nice legs but the fact that their hairy ruins it.

Your mom must be nuts guys and some girls with always be looking at your legs in high school tell your mom your allowed to shave if you want she cant stop you unless she hides the razors and tell her if you cant shave that you will end up being depressed from people making fun of your hairy legs i didnt mean for that to sound rude or nothing so just tell her it lowers ur confidence

I'd just shave any way.  Your too old to have her watch you shower.  She wouldn't know the difference as long as you wear pants.

that's retarded that she won't let you shave, tell her your a teenager and it's normal to start shaving, if she still won't let you just do it anyways...she can't possibally punish you for removing undesirable hair from your body.

my mom wouldn't let me shave either, until i told her that some girls made fun of me for having hairly legs(no one actaually made fun of me) this worked even though it wan't true lol

sounds like your mom is a little controlling and over protective.  ask her if you could use nair or something similar to that.  high school is about the age most girls start shaving and im sure your mom is probably having a hard time letting go of you:)  good luck and just keep asking.

You go tell your mom that you got an answer from a lady that taught high school for 25+ years and she said to let you shave.

I hardly ever had any girls that didn't shave - guess it's just a rite of passage.

Tell her that your growing up, and as a maturing lady, you would like to shave. Just sit down and talk to her about it, and tell her that you would really like to shave since you are entering high school. Plus, to make it even better, you may want to ask her for tips about shaving (like how to avoid cuts and such) which will make her feel your more serious about it.

and since you'll be a freshman like that would be realllllly important to do because high school guys are dickheads. for real. im a sophomore and if your different from any other girl... they attack everything thats bad about you instead of good.

soo i would suggest wearing jeans or veet/nair/wax.

Aweehh, that sucks I convinceed my mom into letting

me when I was in grade 7. Its nicer looking when you

were shorts, or booty shorts, and also skirts, let your

mom know that your a teenager now, and its actually

nice to havee smooth legs eveen a few hairs, and where

I live you geet called a man, ( i know cause girls do geet

called thaat ). And also its more attractivee, or you can go

to the stores buy a whole ton of shaving stuff, and then shave

your legs, wear a skirt, shorts, booty shorts, etc, and show

your mom how nice it looks, once you do it she must let you

do it agaain, ;)

You are a big girl, buy your own razor and shaving gel and shave your legs. I mean, it's not like she's able to say "you are not allowed to shave your legs' since it's not her body, it's yours. And seeing as you are nearing adulthood, you can make a choice like this... I mean, you could even buy something like an epilator, which is expensive yes, but then you don't need to buy razors all the time, or gel for them, and you could use it in the privacy of your bedroom.

Either way, it's not hard to buy your own razors

ok, so listen to your mom and dont shave... buy Nair lotion for legs, put it on your legs, and then withing 10 minutes wipe it off...your hair will be gone, andddd you didnt have to shave :)

I think a girl going into high school should be allowed to shave her legs. Lotion doesn't make them less hairy, so wtf?
