My naruto speculation?

and its just that, speculation so, go with it. could itachi still have been working for konoha or actually root more specifically? was danzou looking to have sai get to the level of itachi and infiltrate akatsuki as itachi had?

ps. aburme shino is in my opinion, the best in the universe of naruto

Itachi could have been still working for konoha because after he left his main goal was to make sasuke stronger so that he could surpass Madara and possibly destroy madara because madara wants to destroy konoha. Also danzou wanted sai to asassinate sasuke cause he viewed him as a viable treat to konoha.
