Hi i just bought a 2002 banshee its my first manual quad and my question is, when i put it in neutral and try to shift to first, which is 1 down shift, i pull the clutch and shift down but the quad jerks and shuts off, im wondering if im holding the clutch to long or letting it go to fgast or am i not giving it enough throttle?

  1. you can hold the clutch down as long as you want, when you are taking off, as you let the clutch out (do this slowly), give it a little bit of gas. dont rev it all the way and thel let go. jus go slow with the clutch and give a little gas as you start to let go.

  2. you gotta give it some gas as you let on out ont he clutch...

when i'm hauling ***, generally, i just rev the throttle up high, and let the clutch out slow, as opposed to giving it a little gas as i let out the clutch (sorry, but the last thing i want to do is going flying over the handlebars... and the 'phenomenon' you're experiencing is called engine braking.... and if you're not paying attention it can really mess you up)

  3. ur a dumbass
