My puppies Are fine?

Hi everyone who saw my post yesterday. the vet finally called back after thirty scary minutes. He looked at them and made them throw up gave them a vitamen shot and tested the dog food. HE found small traces of antifreeze in the food, he said probably half a teaspoon of antifreeze was mixed with the food. I called the police and they found the guy (he looked about 17). his reason was he wanted to see what would happen. Well he is in jail right now and has been fines over 800 dollars.

All the puppies made a full recovery and are back to there old selves. Thank you all for your help last night and for all of your support.

ok to make this postable here is my question: What would you do if someone tried to poison your dogs to see what would happen?

Glad your pups are ok. The kid who did this should be prosecuted. Next time it will be a child he tries to kill.

In answer to the question? I would prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

There was no excuse for that. It wasn't an accident and there was no excuse.  He might do real jail time for it.

I'd contact the humane society, they might be able to make it stick harder.

I'd certainly call the local newspapers and let them know the story, as well. Let everyone who might have to deal with him know what kind of person he is! If he works in fast food someday, would he try the same stunt because he was bored? That stuff starts out small and escalates.

if someone EVER even TOUCHED my dog, i tell you, that would be the end.  it's just like poisoning a child.  i wish people wouldn't be so cruel!

Good to hear everything is ok and they caught the lil prick. And as for what I would do...I can't post that on here but it wouldn't be nice at all.

Wanted to see what happen? Wtf ten to one he has done c**p to other animals very few people unless they are upset with the neighbor jump right to antifreeze laced food.

If he can be charged as an adult in your area present him with the vet bill, if not send it to his parents.

It would be nice if there were an animal abuse registry like there is for s*x-offenders so people could be warned about freaks like your "neighbor."

Glad your pups (dogs) are fine - if someone poisoned my dogs, they'd better hope the police found them 1st. I would hope the police got to them 1st too because I'd probably be in jail for assault.

I'm SO glad you posted - I was just trying to figure out a way to ask you!  Biiiig sigh of relief here for your puppies...

Go after this guy - Lisa's right - the next time, it could be a child (bad enough it was your dogs) - that is where abusers start, with animals.

And hey, John - try reading the previous question before you go off on Samantha.  She is a responsible pet owner, and was doing laundry. Of course, maybe you don't...

I work at a vet clinic and we had a beautiful 1yr old golden that died from antifreeze poisoning. So, since I have seen what it can do to a dog, since I sat with it through all the seizures and vomiting until it died....I don't know what I'd do, but I'd want to do some horrible things to them...like feed them some antifreeze and let them suffer. I felt that way about someone else's dog I had never met. I would be pretty irate if it were my dog. I would try to make sure they were punished to the full extent of the law for each dog. There's something psychologically wrong with someone who does that to animals.

i am very glad that your puppies are fine.if someone ever tried to do that to my dog i will kick there @$$.or any animal there's or not there's.again very happy to hear the good news.
