My seventh grader is arguing?

i send him to bed at 830 he says that that is not fair and he should be going to bed at 930 or so what is the bed time or curfue for a kid like that and he is a 4.0 student if it elps

during 7th grade i went to bed at around 11..

so yes 8:30 is very early//babyish.
