My sisters homework...?

My sister is 14 I am 16, we don't live together. She has very bad time management skills to say the least.

Well, she knows I feel sorry for her and always cons me into doing her assignments for her the night before they are due.

Like last night I stayed up until 4.30am doing an assignment on gender stereotypes and now it's 11pm and she just asked me to do an assignment on bush fire's for her due in the morning.

(I live in Australia, thus the times)

I just can't say no to her.

So the question is how do I say no and how do I get her to have better time management skills?

  1. She has you where she wants you, even if she doesn't know that. Why would she bother to work on those skills if you always do her work? You need to realize that what you are doing is not only keeping her from developing this skill, but you are being dishonest in passing off this work as hers. In other words, you are an enabler. And you're probably getting angry, to boot. This is a big problem that you may need someone else's help with. Go to a parent or school counselor and ask for help! You are not acting properly by taking responsibility for someone else's problems for which you have not been given that responsibility. The sooner you relieve yourself of that, the sooner your sister can begin to develop on her own, and the better your own life will be!

  2. Tell her that you are not going to do her homework any more because you don't need to be doing it she s the one who needs to do it because otherwise she wont learn anything and wont get good grades.  Copy out her timetable and find out when she had homework . Then on the copied  out time table draw a symbol to indicate when she has homework for that lesson.

  3. pretend to be busy with a project of your own. act like it is a life and death situation, and u just have to finish it. no distractions!
