My son is mentally ill?????

Hi, I dont know know what to do about my teenage son. He is extremely paranoid of everything and everybody. Everytime i look at him he runs away and goes to hide under blankets. He still wears footsey pajamas to hide from attackers and to protect himself from the closet monster or whatever he calls it. What should i do about him? Do you think he could be schitzophrenic?
