Question:

My worms aren't eating?

I just bought 3 dozen worms at a local bait shop on Sunday and caught about another 3 dozen in my yard from Monday-Tuesday. I put some lettuce in the aquarium I have them in as well as 2 pieces of a banana peel. I don't think they have eaten any at all. Is this normal? Thank you to all that answer!

  1. How would you like it if someone stuck a big fish hook through your cheek?  Leave the fish alone and find something more constructive to do.

  2. You may not be able to notice how much they've eaten just yet.Remember they can't take large bites. But you may also want to try corn mill or used coffee grounds to feed them as well.I'm not sure if you're raising red worms or night crawlers which are actually both the same thing(both are earthworms)Anyway here's a few links to help you out.

Good Luck to you,let me know how it goes

  3. Don't worry bout' the worms/nightcrawlers nor Tito ie., the "crawlies" will be fine and as for the latter I'm sure he'll find somethin' in life that'll be inspirational to him ;). Worms ain't like dogs ya' know like fillin' their bowl with Purina and havin' it disappear in a flash (had a Rott that would do that ~ bowl filled one minute , gone the next). Ever heard the phrase, " You eat like a bird" well the same will hold true with them,  in other words your not goin' to notice that much consumption/eatin'. Am includin' a couple of links for ya' that may help out.

I give ya' credit for your endeavors ;). Guess I'm just gettin' to old and lazy ~ I just go out and buy a dozen of them ;) ;). Good luck, "Fish On" and hope it works out ;)
