My yard looks like an airport?

Question

For the past two days my yard is full of dragonflies. I love them, but it's ridiculous.....I can't sit outside without having the fear one is going to fly into my hair and bite me.

I'm in Texas and it's very hot and hasn't rained, so why all the sudden? It's odd...can anyone explain this?

dragon flies are harmless.  They don't bite.

Dragonflies are actually friendly.  They like to land on people and just sit there.  I wouldn't worry about being bit by one.  They're harmless.

i believe the dragon fly hatching season just happened.  so for the next few weeks you will definitely have them.  as for biting you, dragon flys dont bite people, but they are wonderful for pest insects like gnats, mosquitoes, flys etc.  

somewhere around 1-2k pests eaten daily
