MySQL Connection Issues (please read)?

Question

My database instance has been fine for two months. All of a sudden last night PhpMyAdmin kept timing out and couldn't connect to my database instance.

I went into Yahoo webhosting dashboard to connect via the Database Admin link and it can't connect either. I have been on hold for 56 minutes now and my emails have remained unanswered. Is yahoo having problems with their database servers?

Any place to find out current status of the yahoo hosting network? My site has been down going on two days because of this hiccup.

Any answers are appreciated.

I think they are.  I have waited on the phone for over 45 minutes and no one got on.  I've wasted so much time with this - no one will help me - what small business I can't even get started.  I want to scream right now!

I activated Word-press on my yahoo small business web-hosting and it activates the oldest version?  Site Solutions won't work.  So this is useless.  :(((((
