Mystery books?? Please help?

Question

I have to read a mystery book for my first english assignment. I love to read so lik the size doesn't matter... as long as its like atleast 250 pages. (I hate reading books that are small, it makes me feel stupid. Oviously if you read small books ur not stupid but I'm just wierd and ya so haha) I need a book thats like 250 pages or more, has teenagers in it, and is mystery with like some horror in it because if I'm going to read a mystery I want it to be scary. Your recomendations need to be 100% sure that its mystery beause I don't want to go buy it then find out its not a mystery. (yes I have to buy my books, I hate librarys... yes I no im weird) and it has to be a book we have here in the us oviously becaue I am going to the city (city to me... its actually pretty small) tomarrow and they have a bigger bookstore than us so il get it then. So PLZ be sure its mystery! THANKS!!

Umm there's no teenagers really in it but it's really good...

Yesi, Twilight isn't mystery.

I was going to The Nancy Drew Series, but it looks like they were already recommend. My favorite is The Hidden Staircase.
