I am an American, and I was wondering, on average how many calories do you eat in a day. In the States, people always tell me that I should eat between 2000 - 2500 calories and 300 carbs a day. I always heard people in other countries(especially Europe) eat a lot less than this. So, can you tell me, how many calories and carbs you average a day. Thank You.

  1. I hope you'll forgive me for jumping in on this one, but I am American, and I think I can help some.  I don't know how many calories they recommend in Europe, but most Europeans use more olive oil (monounsaturate, healthier than what Americans use) than we do, AND, they don't load up their foods with additives like High Fructose Corn Syrup, and Hydrogenated oils.  They eat more organically, fresher, and they don't buy convenience foods like we do.  The result:  healthier people who aren't nearly as overweight.

Oh, and they walk a lot more than we do.  Even people who have cars park them further from home than we do.
