NTLDR is missing?

Okay, i'm reading an article I found online about fixing the NTLDR problem. This is on a XP machine. I'm doing the recovery process, and when the list of installed things comes up, the only thing that shows up is this, 1 H:\MiniNT Press Enter to continue.

I press enter, and am now at a prompt. The article says in order to fix this you need to be at C:\Windows> When I try and go there however, it says no file or directory exists and when I do a DIR on the C:\ drive, nothing comes up at all. In fact from C: all the way to F:, says there is nothing, and a XP cd is in one of two dvd rom drives.

Seems like you have a virus. Find someone who can help you get rid of it. "1 H:\MiniNT", in part or all of the file name could be the virus. Seems like the virus has duplicated your NTLDR problem, making it harder to fix.

Since you have access to a working PC, here is a much simpler fix. The one you are using appears to work from DOS, so it would have troubles reading NTFS drives.
