Maisie reminds me of a mouse

Belle is beautiful as a nickname. I would give her a longer name and use Belle as a nickname.

Tallulah:  Tallulah Bankhead

Scout:  This is a horse's name.

Belle:  I like it, but danged if someone wouldn't be calling her "Ding Dong Belle".
