Question:

Nascar VS F1 question gone?

Oh no you don't. Gets deleted while I'm writing a rant? I'm getting this out and letting those nascar fans join me.

How long has it taken Montoya to be a top 20 driver? Several thousand laps and 2 years? Lets rewind a few years and see what happens when a "nascar ret@rd" gets into an F1.

"On the second-lap of the second segment, having mastered the luxury of traction control and precision braking, Gordon laid down a lap just 1.3 seconds slower than Montoya's best of the day in the same car.

Those among the F1 contingent were impressed with how quickly Gordon adjusted to the unique machine, despite only logging some seven laps.

And they say Americans can't excel in F1."

Very interesting huh? Maybe the "ret@rd" has some kind of super human learning ability? Maybe the reason all the F1 guys are so stuck up and don't talk to each other is because they have nothing left to learn.... it's just gas and brake in those cars.

  6. You rock Big Dog.

  7. You tell em!!!

  8. I love, appreciate, and respect them both.  I love getting up early to watch an F1 race or setting the alarm for 3am to watch.  F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport worldwide. period. whether you like that or accept it or not.  But that doesnt mean America and Nascar dont have its share of top talent as well.  Of course a Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart could have cut it in F1.  And Schumacher would have been great in Nascar.  This F1 vs. nascar is making people as irrational as Republicans vs Democrats.  Like the one you like and stop calling the other side idiots.  I too, once thought F1 was boring but once I started watching, I got completely hooked and big time.  The two are nothing alike and I like it that way.  Nascar is a cold tall draft beer and F1 is a glass of fine wine.  It depends on what you're in the mood for.

  9. I agree, thank you.

  10. Boy I do hate it when questions gets deleted AFTER I have spent time and energy answering it....leave the question up!

Way to go Big Dog!  I hear that loud and clear.  The F1 guys switch to NASCAR and they all talk about how much more there is to learn and how incredibly harder they cars are to handle.  They talk about the strategy and how difficult it is to learn that.  A couple years ago Montoya was going to walk in here and be the new golden boy in NASCAR....NOT.  Now he is even impressed and in awe with our beloved sport and all that goes into it.

Nice Gordon reference as well Big Dog, I really enjoyed that.

  11. you da man! agree 100%
