Question:

Nasty Pizza Problem?

So my sister ordered a pizza to be delivered from dominos, and her daughter found sticky stuff on the bottom of the slice. Her innocent self thought it was cheese, but it smelled of spearmint...yes, it was chewed gum. My sister called dominos and asked to speak to a general manager. The number that they gave her was a WRONG number! She has a house full of kids, so she can't pack up everyone and go there...what should my sister do next?

  1. Get the kids babysat and go to court!

  2. call another dominos in the area and ask if the affilated with that dominos if so ask for the gm number don't eat the pizza for your proof

  3. report it to the health department; if you get their inspection permits yanked, THEN they'll listen to you.

  4. I would call the police. NOT 9-11, but the local police station and ask them what to do. I know it may sound strange, but that is a very serious violation of sanitary procedure. I would call the local police, ask to speak to an officer, and see what they say you should do. Maybe you can press charges and sue them. But you need someone to back up your story. You should take pictures too. People have won huge lawsuits for much less. Maybe you can too.

DO NOT LISTEN TO JUNE B! She works for Dominos and is trying to get you not to sue them! :)

  5. If possible take pictures of this and send it to their main office. I also would report it to the health department-it's disgusting. It wont help her immediately, but I would be afraid to eat another pizza from there anyway, especially after she complains. Hopefully the company will compensate her for the trouble they caused.

  6. She should call back and ask to speak to the manager of that store, explain the situation. If they give her a hard time,  I (and this is what I would do) would call my local news channel and tell them what happened. Domino's is not going to want that kind of publicity.

  7. Do NOT call the police dept.   While this is a health code violation, the police cannot help you.

On the box, is there a number to call other than the local shop?

Try calling the shop again and ask to speak with the manager on duty.   Explain what happened.   You should get a refund of the price paid and an apology.   I wouldn't want to eat a replacement pizza if they offer to bring one.

Tomorrow, call the health dept. and report the incident.

  8. Dominos, like most businesses, has a website. You can have your sister email them (see link below) and complain. Trust me.. THEY DOOOOOOOOOOOO LISTEN!!!

I have worked for the "other" major pizza chain for 13 years, and I know that if ANYONE COMPLAINS to "corporate" via the internet... that store HEARS about it.. AND HOW!!!  So give it a whirl.

    Have a polite day.
