  1. I tried everything for three years, but nothing helped-bled for weeks non-stop, had to have them removed. Having said that, if you have fibroids, but no symptoms, then don't do anything. It is when they become a problem that they need addressing, not just because they exist. The size and location of them makes a difference as to whether you will have symptoms or not.

  2. Fibroids (more properly Uterine Leiomyoma) are a benign tumor of the smooth muscle of the uterus.  They can cause pain and heavy bleeding and have been implicated in infertility.

There is no known way getting rid of them "naturally". There is no herb, vitamin, mineral or potion that will dissolve them. Sorry.   Anybody who tells you different is lying.

However the newest treatment for them is non surgical. It involves threading a catheter into the artery that supplies the fibroid, and leaving a small plug of silicone to cut off the blood supply. Essentially, it starves it from oxygen and nutrients and it shrinks.  It's slick and minimally invasive.

Ask your doctor to refer you to someone who does Uterine Artery Embolization.

  3. When I owned an herb store, several customers got good results from using products with Red Root in them. Works pretty quickly to shrink the uterine fibroids and breast cysts, alleviate symptoms. It doesn't cure them, I don't think, and the treatment must be repeated when they flare up.

Here is one product: http://www.herbsetc.com/Shopping/l/lymph... or you can just take the red root extract by itself.

Fibroids are made worse by oral contraceptives and high estrogen levels. Some other herbs known to help shrink them are: Violet leaves, Black Cohosh and Thuja. For pain, use Cramp Bark. For bleeding, use Shepherd's Purse. Many women find the fibroids go away after menopause.
