Navigon 2100 Lane Assist Function?

I just bought a 2100 from staples and it seems to work just fine. I printed off the manual from the website and went in and changed certain settings. However I can't get two things to work. I set the speed limit settings and when i exceed them i get no warning. Also how does the lane assist work. My understanding is when I am on the express way and want to see the signs like thay show on the box i have to press the little box on the left of the screen where the little squares increase up the arrow like thing if that makes sense. Please help :) I there a Navigon group??
