  1. The first thing you need to do is go to the NCL Sun's web site and look at the ship's features:

    http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/fleet/shipInfo...

If you are taking the Sun's cruise out of San Francisco then you will be going to three places that I have been to, Cabo, Acapulco, and Puerto Vallarta.  I loved Cabo best of all and we did a tour that included a stop at a Taquila factory where we had samples; then on to a museum and glass factory.  That was a nice "tame" tour but you may want to do exciting stuff like jet ski or para-sail.

In Acapulco you want to for sure go see the cliff divers.  We took a tour that included that and a tour of the city and a couple of its hotels.

In Puerto Vallarta we took a city tour also.  It was OK.  I didn't care for PV at all, felt like it is overrated.

The Mexico beaches are no where near as pretty and inviting as those on the Caribbean side, except maybe Cabo.  Just brown sand beaches.

NCL's web site does not give information about it's ships; at least I could not find data on when and where it was launched.
