Alright some of you will think i'm a total goofball but i kinda discovered something that i thought was cool about pupils.

All you will need is a flashlight and someone to observe..

Now everyone knows that when you shine light into your eyes your pupils become tiny..but what about if you just shine in one eye? Does just one turn tiny and the other stay the same size?

Haha Well, i wanted to try so...use something to split your two eyes apart your hand or a sheet of paper ect. Lined up with your nose dividing your two eyes.

Now shine the flashlight into one eye and even though the other does not get any light into it,, it turns tiny also...

Why does this happen? I sure don't know..maybe they both run on the same nerve? Anyways..

There Yuh have it a neat eye observation ;)

  3. It is called consensual pupillary reflex. It does have to do with nerve responses in the optic nerve and the brain. Look it up, it is amazing to learn about!
