Need Help QUICK!?

Ok i Just found out 1 hour ago that theres going to be a provincial cross country skiing race on saturday and sunday about .5 km from my house it was going to be about 300km away in truro the other day but snow melted there and my place is the only place with snow. i wasn't going to go becasue i had no way there but now that its here i am going to be in it and also i have only been skiing for this winter and my coach wants me to do the classic and free race im pretty good at classic but horrible at free. any tips on speed or endurnace or balance would be a big help thanks in advance.

and also please no trash talk thanks.

  1. Freestyle (skate) tips:

    To get you balance right, make sure your nose is over the ski you are gliding on.  This will help you commit to a ski while skating and is much more efficient.  Another thing that might help your balance is clicking your boots after you push off, then glide on the opposite ski (it's hard to describe, but I think you'll figure it out).

    I started racing last year, and was just as nervous as you are my first race.  Just don't worry about it, ski your best, and good luck!
