Need Help with my Playstation 2!!?

Question

When start My playstaion 2 console it doesnot executes any game disk which is inserted in the DVD Rom!but when I insert any Any movie DVD it plays it!!.When It worked properly It displayed MATRIX on the screen for one or 2 seconds when I started it but now it is not displayed.Can anyone help me with this???

if it dose not work take it to game-stop or gamecrazy they will help you with or you can trade it in for a game or for money its your choice and that how i will solve it do wit i said or do what you like good luck with your crappy game system

Try to clean out the back where the fan is, make sure its not dusty.

Let it rest for a few hours, than try again. If it still doesn't work, make sure the disc is scratched, try your very best condition game and if that doesnt work;

call the number in the play station 2 manual and ask a live representative, or go to gamestop and trade it in (dont tell them somethings wrong with it!!) get the $ and buy a new one. usually if you call the representative though they will have you send it in for repairs or tell you how to repair it, or tell you somewhere to get it repaired.

How did you want it to execute your game disks? Guillotine?

it sounds like you have a mod chip in youe ps2, im not sure if the same laser reads the games as well as the movies but it sounds like the game laser or game card/graphics card isnt working, it would probably be cheaper to buy another ps2 second hand. good luck with it in anycase
