i have a 50 inch monitor at home and all it has is a power plug and a 25 to 30 pin plug on the back. there`s no coax plug or scart on the back and i just need to no if i can still watch tv or dvd`s on it and if so do i need to get a unit to plug it into.

i don`t no the make or model.

  1. lol, just figit with it until it works, like take a dvd player and try all the different plugs, and youll find it. also, usually the plugs are color coordinated i dont think you will need to have something else hooked up to it

    Then you say "....if I can still watch TV...."

    If it's a monitor you won't be able to get TV but your question implies that you have watched TV on it in the past.

  4. it sounds like what you have is simply that...a "monitor". This would not usually have a tuner built in so this is why there is no coax input. As far as the 25-30 plug goes this could be either a DVI (Digital Video Interface) input which only a few components had (usually computers) or it could be a cable that links to a "brain" device where you could plug in external components. hope this helps!
