Need help to make a song?

for all u song artists out there, i need help.. me and my cousin are gonna start a band and im the lead singer and have to write the lyrics but i dont know what to write about, any tips? hints? info?

sometimes all i need is a little R&R. take a nap, sit outside, draw a picture, take a bubble bath. just contemplate and ponder something that is very important to you and look at it from every angle.

for instance, something big in my life right now is falling in love. so think about him; what is his best quality?? what is your best memory of (being around) him?? what is something he said that really sticks out in your mind?? what are some personality traits you share??

but then you can go more universal and less personal with it and write about just the feeling of falling in love. or maybe write about heartbreak. or being separated from a loved one.

I write songs just for me to practise at home (I have stage fright and won't get on stage. I know stupid. I am trying to get over it)

Anyway the songs I write are about experiences in my life, how i feel about things happening around me and events in my life

I'm not that great of a song writer but I do have tips.

1) Ask your friends to help you with song lyrics, when you get an idea.

2) Don't force lyrics out, give them time.

3) Write about your life, people in your life, a dream, things that you hate, things that you like.
