Your task is to plant a mixture of 30% western wheatgrass, 20% Indian ricegrass and 50% needleandthread at the rate of 275 pure live seeds per square meter.

How many pure live seeds per hectare of each species do you want to plant?

Answer 1

1 hactare = 10000 square metres.

275 * 10000 = 2750000 seeds per hectare.

Western Wheatgrass - 2,750,000 * 0.3 = 825,000

Indian Ricegrass - 2,750,000 * 0.2 = 550,000

Needleandthread - 2,750,000 * 0.5 = 1,375,000

(825,000 + 550,000 + 1,375,000 = 2,750,000)
