Hi i got a laptop for my birthday but there's not much to do so i want to the get internet. My brothers got wireless internet so want to know if me and my brother have to pay seperate monthly fees?

  1. When you say wireless intenet, you mean something like Unwired?  If so, and your new laptop has a wireless network adaptor then, yes, you can share the internet connection.


  2. I think you need to know a few basics.  First, you state that your brother has "wireless internet" which means that there must a wireless router or some other decive which is transmitting the signal.  Both you and your brother's computers receive wireless signals.  

    Therefore, if he is recieving a signal, you can also recieve the same signal (and hence go on the www) at no cost as long as you are in range of the signal.

    However, if your brother is using a wireless broadband card (i.e. there is no router or other device in your home that is sending a signal) then this wireless connection cannot be shared and you must purchase one yourself.  

    Therefore, the question depends on what is transmitting the wireless signal - something in your home or something far away.  Generally speaking, if its the former you can share.
