Question:

Need help with work experience?

In December 2008, I need a work placement. By that time, it will be 3 weeks before i'm 15 but i'll still have my NI card.

I wanted to apply for Boots but I'm not sure they'd let me. For the first week, I've already secured a placement for the pathology department in North Durham Hospital.

Please give some suggestions of places I can go.

Do I need to write a letter and send it off with a CV?

  1. Make up some experience; they'll believe you.

  2. just write letters to say you have to go on work experience and you would be interesting in going there and they usually say yes. so just think of somewhere you want to go and write them a letter usually no need for cv but they may request it after and most places like to meet you so if you deliver the letter personally and introduce yourself, you have a better chance of getting in. good luck

  3. isitt

    school work experience?

or just on your own basis

because shouldnt the school sort the work experience

go into boots and ask them about what you need to do.

  4. If it's work experience with school i don't think you need a CV, you just go into the place/phone them and ask =)  They should tell you if they want a letter or anything.

If it's not for school, then you will need a CV, and maybe a letter saying why you want to work there/when you're free to work there (again, if you ask them, they'll tell you what you need).

May as well apply to Boots, you never know! No point cancelling it out before you've tried =)
