Need simple description for charitable project?

I am working on a project to improve local church along with friends. We are in process of collecting donations from community members. We want to collect funds from all the members of the community, about 10/m , for next one year. I am in the process of preparing a pledge form, which will include the payment details, and I want to create a five to seven sentence small paragraph, which will explain our purpose for building this church, and how it is going to be important for community.

Can any one out there who is really good with English (u can see I am not good) create a five to seven sentence paragraph stressing importance of churches and other religious places in the community .
