Question:

Need some tattoo advice...?

I'm trying to decide if I should get a certain tattoo on my ankle, or my wrist. I already know what I want, I'm just not sure where to get it. It's the outline of a small Jesus fish with the words "saved by grace" in Greek on the inside. (And yes, the fish, the saying, and the language all have personal meaning to me.)

I'll be graduating in about a year with a degree in education, so I'm worried about having to hide a tattoo on the wrist~ anyone have an experience with this or advice as to a good location for this type of tattoo?

  1. You can cover small tattoos with make up if you get it on your ankle or wrist. Or you can get it on your shoulder or lower stomach to the left or right of your belly button. I have on on my lower back and its so easy to hide. No one in my building at work knows I have one.

    Good luck :)

  2. Well I think the ankle is more s**y and looks better, and plus like you said, you don't have to hide it as much as a wrist tattoo. But if you do have to hide it for work or whatever that's okay, it's pretty easy so it's your choice. But if I was getting that I'd get it on my ankle or my back.

  3. It depends if it is small enough to cover with a watch or bracelet. Trust me, I got a tattoo of a star on my wrist when I was 15 (i know, idiot) and Its such a pain to cover up - its only about an ince accross so not even that big.

I would gor for the ankle, personally.

  4. i think girls have an easier time hiding tattooes like with a bracelet or something

  5. I'm not a religious person. Whilst you are, you should know that the Bible is against tattoos and any form of body modification. The thinking is that the body is made in God's image and to 'deface' it is a blasphemy.

I'm tattooed myself, but I wouldn't want you to regret the decision or worry about some h**l-type scenario. I'm atheist/agnostic but respect your beliefs. Location-wise, I have mine at the top of my arms.

  6. I would put the tattoo on your ankle. If you are entering a line of work that would frown upon tattoos, this will make it easier to hide. Just wear pants!

My tatto is on my ankle for the same reason.

  7. you will have to hide the ankle one to in the summer when your wearing skirts

    put it on your side

  8. I love wrist tattoos more than anything, but you will have a pretty hard time covering it unless you plan on wearing long sleeves every day.  And like someone else said, the ankle tattoo will be an issue if you plan on wearing skirts or shorts.  There is a certain heavy duty cover-up made specifically for tattoos that you could try.  Or you could reconsider the location, like maybe on the back of your neck or the back of your shoulder.

  9. If you plan on beginning a career as an educator, I would recommend putting the tattoo on your ankle, as it is easier to cover than a wrist tattoo.

  10. Small enough to cover with a watch or bracelet if necessary? Will you teach in a public school? Have to watch that separation of church and state thing. I think it sounds like a lovely idea. A tattoo with special meaning is always the best way to go.

  11. i would put it on your left butt cheak so no one would see it when you have clothes on.
