Need to paint exterior upper floor.?

Anyone ever used those extension poles that you attach the brush and scraper to? My house is screaming UGLY, UGLY and my pocket are lacking the necessary finances!

Haven't used the long pole, but logically it sounds like a lot of work and difficult to manipulate.  No way around using good old scaffolding.  You will need it when you paint anyway.  Rental by the week is a common practice for scaffolding.
