Negril, Jamaica?

We are getting married in Nov in Negril. I am trying to decide what I should do with my hair. It is naturally curly/wavy. Is the weather humid in Negril? If I straighten it, will it stay straight or will the humidity make it kink up? I am trying to decide if I should keep my shorter do or let it grow until the wedding so I can put it up. Thanks!

  1. Congrats! You will love Jamaica. I have naturally wavy hair and i straighten it everyday. In JA I give up! It is humid. My hair stays fairly straight but does get frizzy within an hour. If you are wanting to let your hair grow out, just wear it up and use lots of anti-frizz. I think you should let it grow because even if it is short and styled, it will just be short frizzy hair. I think you would like being able to at least put it up in a ponytail after the wedding. There are also stylists around Negril who will be able to do your hair.

  2. You may want to keep it curly...it get humid in Negril, when are you going?  We went in the month of september and it rained and the sun was out, some days it was humid, most brides I've seen had either their hair up or curly with beautiful flowers in it...

  3. I would suggest leaving your hair natural and curly. The humidity will definitely make it kink up. I have naturally straight hair that got a wave to it will in Jamaica. If you do put it up, don't expect it to say smooth. A half up/half down loose look with the curls would also be really beautiful. It was humid when my husband and I went on our honeymoon but we hardly noticed because it was the GREATEST trip ever!!! We are already planning to go back!
