I have my first ultrasound on Monday. I will be 12 weeks on Tuesday. I am so scared!! What if something is wrong? What if there is no heartbeat? Would I know if I already had a miscarriage? Why am I so scared? Does anyone have any comforting words of wisdom and expierence? Thanks to all!!

  1. don't be scared everything will be fine. yes you would know if you had a miscarriage. when you see your baby your hart will melt.

  2. Trust me, you will be a little nervous before each ultrasound, but get progressively more excited as well. I always worry that something could be wrong, especially right before I go in, and everything turns out fine. Its just a lot harder in the beginning when you dont have that constant reinforcement (like when the baby kicks) that everything is ok on a daily basis. The best thing you can do is try not to get stressed out (you dont want to raise your blood pressure!) and relax. Just wait till you see him/her on screen- it will all be worth it! Good Luck!

  3. really, don't worry, i'm sure everything will be just fine! if you still feel the baby kicking, its probably perfectly normal.

if you don't feel the baby kicking or moving around, try slowly talking to it very calmly and sweetly, remember; they can hear you speaking!

or play some soft music and put it closely to your stomach.

i haven't had any experience with having a child, but i know alot about babies!

    good luck with your son/daughter!

best of luck to you and your new little blessing!

ps: try not to be too nervous or stressed out on monday,

just try to be really relaxed, because if your nervous, the baby

won't feel comfortable either, so try to stay positive!

  4. I'm sure everything is fine.

At 12 weeks, you would definitely know if you miscarried.

If you're doctor thought something was wrong, she'd send you to the ER, not send you for an ultrasound next week.

Everyone gets nervous when they are pregnant. It's a mothers job to worry, just don't worry too much.

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    All the best!
