Question:

Network Music causes a fatal exception?

Every time I try to check the 'network music' box in Yahoo! Music Jukebox, I get a fatal exception: A fatal exception 0xc0000005 has occured at 0x215012DA (READ 0X000000004) A log file is being generated.

I'm running Windows Vista and Jukebox version 2.2.2.056. This has happened for the last several versions of Jukebox, and their customer support has been worse than worthless.

  1. A dump file and a log file should have been generated for the access violation: ymp.2.2.2.056.dmp and ymp.crash.log

The ymp.crash.log file is readable.  You can search for that name and look at it.  It should show the same access violation (0xc0000005).  Why (or did they) didn't Yahoo request either of the above files?  That's the only way to get a handle on the problem.  I can't help you solve the problem because their code is not open source.   It may not even be their problem.  You could have a faulty driver for your network sharing device.  Who knows, but they should be able to isolate the routine in question. It's difficult to advise anyone without really knowing what they have told you or requested you do.  You might want to push them (Yahoo tech support) harder.  See what they need.  Tell them you can provide a dump (assuming you can find the above files I referenced). Good luck.
