  1. actually the guys I trian with most of them have neevr been in anykind of street fight at all that is rumor started to make the sport look more violent

  2. I just almost asked the same question I asked how do they train to have such hard heads there is some ways you train to hav hard heads and bodys I know the ancient Mui Tie experts kick a tree a 1000 times a day so when the kick it would be harder. But also when your fighting like in a street fight for instance you dont feel any pain because of the rush or you pissed off so when someone hits you, you dont feel it well no until after.Every time i was in a fight I never felt anything manly because every body that I fought never got the chance to hit that much because I just KO him.

  3. u already gave them the upper hand by assuming they're betta than u. juz go out there n fight sum peeps grew up knowin different ways 2 play the game

  4. I do not think you should step foot inside of a cage match until you have a black belt rank in a martial art, for just this reason.  You have no idea of the background of your opponent.  At least if you have a black belt, even without street fighting experience, you know you have a good understanding of some fighting system somewhere.   You could use your MMA time to fill in holes, build strengths, improve weaknesses instead of starting from the ground up.

Do not listen to the hype about how traditional martial arts don't work, street this, blah blah b.s.  I did 4 years taekwondo, had some street fights and took boxing lessons for a month before I did an amateur boxing match where I knocked out a guy who was golden gloves.  He had to be carried out on a stretcher.   If you had asked anybody who is on a boxing-is-superior kick, on paper, the golden gloves guy should have one.  Heck, he was in much better shape and had been in a boxing ring before.

All a good coach has to do is sculpt your traditional martial arts training towards MMA and bam, you will be fine.  What you  may also find is that after you get a black belt, you may not feel the need to get in a cage to prove what a bad-*** you are.  But, if after you get a black belt you still want to be in a cage, then yes, it is probably for you.

Why do you want to do a cage match?  Do you think the best fighters are cage fighters?  Back before cage matches, I thought the best fighters were guys who trained full contact, so I did that----until I met some solid black belts.

The best fighters are the ones who train the best.  And many of those people have not been anywhere near a cage.

  5. I wil fite ya, meat me in the big market at 6.

  6. I've been in one street fight and practice MMA

i found it actually hurt things cause i went at the dude with no rules, kicked his balls, he tried to fish hook me

    it wasn't pretty

but then i stepped into a fight with rules and it was like wow this is so much easier i don't have to worry about being kicked in the balls or having his finger in my eye

  7. You will never know until you step into the cage...

  8. If you've got it in your head that they're tougher than you, you've volunteered them the advantage.

Don't think about your opponents history, especially what they've done BEFORE they were trained. While they're record in the cage is more relevant, dwelling on it is only setting yourself up for intimidation.

What is more important is if you are confident in your abilities, and even though you might not want to hear it, if you aren't confident that you at least have as good a shot as anybody else, maybe the cage isn't for you.

  9. Fighting is not all about the physical pounding, but has alot to do with knowledge and mental toughness.  If you possess the knowledge of where your strikes would be most effective, then you can systematically take apart your opponent.  You are correct, many of those cage fighters have plenty of street fights under their belt, but lack the knowledge and discipline.  They may be able to take a few hits, but for what purpose.  The best defense is to not get hit right?
