  1. There will be quite a few people, there are usually some food places there, on the flight theres normally really nice people air hostess's who will help you whenever you have a problem. Sometimes flights can get delayed if they do it's normally for an hour or so.

    Good luck

  2. Be prepared to take off your shoes and go through security. Have your ID ready. Be prepared to wait! Sometimes flights are delayed. Make sure you are at the right gate 30 minutes before scheduled takeoff. Some airlines call your name on the intercom if you are not on the flight by takeoff. But if you are too far away from the right gate, then you will not hear your name and you will miss your flight! Also be prepared for gate changes. Sometimes your flight may be moved from Gate A3 to gate G39 way on the other side of the airport! If you are flying into the Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Norfolk, VA, then don't be shocked! It is very small compared to other airports and has very few places to shop.

  3. It depends on which airport you go to, but most of them are really busy, and it takes FOREVER to get through security, so I would get to the airport 2-3 hours before your flight leaves.

  4. When you first get to the airport for your flight you will go to a ticketing counter. Sometimes there is a person behind the counter but thanks to advance in technology most of the time there is an automated machine that you go up to to fill out your information. It kind of resembles an ATM. You will be asked to provide a confirmation number and then it will pull up a screen with your information on it. You will be asked to confirm if this information is correct. Be prepared to have photo ID as you will have to have it scanned so it can verify who you are. After this you will walk down to the security screening area of the airport. First you will show a TSA official your e-ticket confirmations and photo ID. Next you will need to go through your carry on bags and make sure that any unacceptable items like bottled water, gallon sized bags, etc are thrown away. Liquids, gels, and aerosols are allowed but they must fit in 3 ounce or smaller containers. Next you will go to the conveyor belts and the metal detector. Take one of the provided bins and put all of your metal objects in it and slide it through the conveyor belt. Next but your carry on luggage through the belt or if it is possible to put it in one of the bins that is even better. At this point approach the metal detector. A TSA official will be standing by to assist you at this part. Wait until they wave you through and then walk through the metal detector. You may now pick up your metal objects as they come out of the other side of the belt as well as your carry on bag. Now you will head to your gate. Depending on your airport you may walk, you may take a train to the concourse (like me) or there may be another route. When you get to your concourse and find your gate approach the people at the counter so you can get your boarding pass. Just show them your confirmations and your ID so they know who you are. Wait until they call your flight, show them your documentation one more time, and you are off! Even though you are fifteen you should not have any problems as this is an old enough age to fly on a plane by yourself but make complete SURE that you have your confirmation for your boarding pass at hand as you will have to use this as your ID. Enjoy your flight! Bonjour!
