New microwave?

My boyfriend is moving in the next month. He has a microwave but it is really old.I thought about buying him a new one.I dont know what brands are good or maybe about how much a decent one is? Its kind of a random gift but a new microwave wouldnt hurt ha

You are awfully considerate.  All I can say is get one with a turntable, so he doesn't have to manually rotate.

Look for a microwave with at least 1 cu ft capacity, minimum 1000 watt power, moisture sensor for reheating, and a popcorn button.

For increased versatility, get one with convection cooking, now you have a second oven.

$80 - $100 plus is normal.
