New mother board question.?

i have a dell optiplex gx150 about6 7 yrs old i found a brand new motherboard that is the same as the one thats in computer now, if i buy it will it make my computer last longer or am i just waisting money.?

Yeah, way off topic - but computers happen to be my area more so than board games.

You didn't mention how much it costs, but if your computer is 6-7 years old, I wouldn't be investing any money in the motherboard. The motherboard is rarely the component that fails, and when it does it is usually a result of lightning or some other disaster that takes some other parts with it.

Unless your getting the part for 10-20 dollars I would recommend you save the money and put it toward a new computer.
