New motto in TV land?

In the old days tv channels use to have documentaries on and the Open University which used to have interesting discussions on, sometimes about philosophical subjects such as 'I think, therefore I am'.

In recent years these seem to have gone and been replaced with awful programmes and scandal after scandal.

With all this going on, I was wondering if the new motto out there in TV land is 'Our programmes stink, therefore we scam.'

Is it just me, or does it seem that way?

Its that way, the media tells us scandals is what pays, it seems all we want to see is somebody getting pounded by the media, since thats all we can see and do we know if that is right, maybe they just choose to show us only the scandal for whatever reason, someone out there knows the truth but truth has become extinct.
