New photographer please help

Question

Hi i'm just starting to get into photography i want a good starter camera not to much money. I would like it to be a digital and slr camera. If you could list some names. thats would be great:)

Look into one of Nikon's starter level SLRs, like a D40.  Nikon makes great lenses, and you could eventually move up to one of their advanced amateur or pro level cameras.

Well, you can try Canon or Nikon, they are good brands.  Any good quality SLR will probably be pretty pricey, though.  I have a Canon and it works really good, though.  If you want lots of good advice, go to a store where all they do is photography.  Hope this helps! : )

Nikon D40.  I checked into a lot of cameras before deciding on this one.  Price is around $375 - $499.

I would suggest any Kodak camera from the Z series http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.j... I have a Kodak Z812is and I am into photography and it is great!!
