New room theme?????????

Question

I want a new room theme now mine is pink and more pink, but i want something different, I love animals, and I'm down to earth, my walls are a light tan! thanks for the help! oh by the way i'm a teen! =]

Ok, well you want to do some earthy colors. But you are a teenager!! You need some sort of color. So I would keep the tan walls, then have all different kinds of animal print. So plain(as in no fringe or texture) pillows of giraffe, zebra, cheeta, ect. fabrick. Then have a pop of color in your bedding and curtians. Have it be blue because that is still earthy. More of a light blue. Pick plain bedding that is light blue. Then light blue curtians and chairs. Take plain white simple frames and put animal prints in them. You can do this by going to the scrapbooking store and getting the paper with them on it. Put these in frames with white boarder thingys and you have really inexpensive art. You should put little pops of animal prints everywhere you can and same with the light blue. But it will still be light and airy and earthy.

How about an African safari theme? Your walls are already tan. You can just add stuff with zebras, giraffes and lions etc. Maybe a few African style art pieces. Or stuffed animals for a more "fun" style.

Go with an island theme. Tiki heads, palms (fake palms if you want maintence free) bamboo, sea shells. For animals look for tropical birds - parrots, toucans, or any other bright plummaged birds for a spash of color.

Another option that would work with light tan as a base would be more of a coastal theme. fishnet/shell wall murals, cork, driftwood, courgated steel (think cannery row/pier style). Animals can include seals, pelicans, crabs, seagulls.

I would paint the ceiling light blue like the sky. Use dark green accent colors and chocolate brown and cream zebra rug. Bring in big tropical plants, can be a great fake or real. Pick up fushia/pink possibly in framed pictures of tropical flowers for the walls. Val
