  1. You don't say which part of New Zealand you will be. It is the middle of winter, and very cold even in areas normally reasonably warm, and while it may impropve a little, it will still be cold in two monthes time. You would be best with  layers of clothing - warm under clothes, jumpers, or warm jerseys, waterproof jacket. If you are planning on skiing or are going to be in the middle of the North island or the South Island gloves, scarf, woolly hat.Good walking shoes. We do get quite a lot of rain.Cotton is not good for walking in the bush, as it gets very heavy and cold.So preferably something like merino wool or polypropolene is good. Itr is also light to bring. You can buy those very easily here.

    Enjoy your holiday .

  2. It's winter here at the moment, although today in Wellington it feels more like spring.

I'd suggest you bring a water and wind proof jacket. Poly props and merinos. Warm socks. Long pants. Underwear etc.

There are lots of shops here that sell those things if you can't find them where you're from.

  3. middle of  winter here   .. spring start sept,,, so  warm cloth ,, and abit of lighter stuff tooo   have a lovely stay in god own country,,

  4. It's cold at the moment so bring thermals, singlet, woolens, boots, thick socks, warm jacket, hat, scarf and gloves.

You can buy these in New Zealand, NZ made merino wool products are a popular souvineer to take home.
