  1. The climate here in NZ is alright. In summer we reach temperatures around the 20 degree area. 30 degrees would be considered HOT, and can happen, but not too often. The hottest it was Summer that just past was about 35 I think! It can get pretty d**n cold in Winter, which is approaching sadly! :( Gets into the minus sections! Sometimes snows! The weather is really unpredictable sometimes! Sometimes it will start off nice and sunny, then in the afternoon it will be hailing! The location is far South of Australia I guess?

  2. It depends on what part of New Zealand.

North Island - Auckland is temperate,  rarely higher than 28 - 30deg but it is very humid. In winter temp ranges from about 14 - 16 max and about 12deg min. but can have early morning temps much lower. occasional frosts but only briefly.

Rotorua is much colder in winter and slightly cooler in summer. Temps in winter in Rotorua from 0deg to about 8 - 12deg. These are Celsius of course. In mountainous areas  where it snows it is much colder. Wellington slightly cooler than Auckland. Christchurch has more extreme temperatures and can have maximums in the mid thirties in summer and has occasionally had snow in winter.

Dunedin is the coldest main city and can have max of 12deg in summer but would generally be 18 to  20 In winter it much colder than the other cities.

  3. New Zealand is not a part of Australia (you probably know that but just in case!). It's a three hour flight from Sydney in Australia in a south east direction. Is that the sort of location you are meaning? You could always look up a world map! It's as good as anything.

As for the temperature it's never seriously freezing and it's never seriously boiling. In summer you're looking at highs of 25-30C/77-86F. Winter rarely gets down to 0C/30F except for early morning and if it snows. Snow is a very rare occurance! Most of the time it's pleasant enough. In winter it's more cool than cold (during the daytime) and in summer you get cool days too. I'd say it's more warm than cool in summer though. The further ore south you go, the cooler it's going to get.
