My baby is 10 days old, from what I can tell, her urine is normally a pale yellow but today, as I was changing a diaper, she wet herself and it completely clear and there was a lot of it. She hasn't had any jaundice yet. I was wondering if this was an indication of anything abnormal or just one of those things that happens with new babies.

  1. My baby is 6 months old and only had colored urine for the first two days in the hospital.  Ever since then his urine has been completely clear.  Clear urine indicates hydration, so I think that means your baby is doing just great!

  2. Thats normal for a baby.  Their urine is completely sterile.

  3. you child may be gitting to much liquid if you are feeding her every 2 - 3 hours try feeding her every 3 - 4 houers i know it may seem like a whil but it is knot you childs uern should have a slite yellow tint to there urine it is knot good if it is completly clear  well to be complety shere i would call your child phasiton

  4. This is a good sign. People's urine is suppose to be clear. It means you are getting enough liquid. No worries. You worry when your urine is a very dark yellow or almost brownish orange color.

  5. Actually urine is suppose to be clear, even in adults. If urine is clear it means you are drinking enough liquids, if the urine is yellow it means you need to drink more.

  6. perfectly normal! there isn't anything in their body system!
