My daughter is a week old and hates sleeping in her crib for over a couple of hours at a time. This is fine, as she needs to eat that often still, but the thing is, she doesn't seem to sleep as soundly as her twin sister. I place them the exact same way but to no avail with the one.
My husband tried putting a rolled-up receiving blanket under her neck to see if it would stop her squirming, and it seemed to actually work. Of course I'm not going to use it as a solution until I know that it's safe to do. He said that he was trying to copy the way that she's positioned in someone's arms. The blanket under her neck kind of mimics someone's arm when she's being held. It fits in the gap between her head and back when she's lying down, but it very slightly tilts her head back, so I'm worried about leaving her in that position.
Has anyone tried something similar with their baby in the crib? I'm not going to do it unless the pedi says it's safe, AND moms say that it's proven to work.
